Hi All
Round 5 has just been run and by all reports it was a fun event hosted by our new friends in WRX Club. The venue was a new one for most members except some of the lets say "older" people who have been around a while. The Midvale Speed-dome is a tight, challenging little circuit and I am sure most enjoyed it even though it doesn't really suit most of our cars.
Round 6 is 20th August and once again, it is a WRX Club run event, this time at Jack's Hillclimb - Wanneroo Raceway. This is also a challenging circuit especially the extended layout that the WRX guys will be utilizing. Make sure you submit your entry via the WRX club website, links are on the event page on our website. It will be a popular event so make sure you get your entry in, we don't want anyone ringing up 2 days before, trying to enter, only to be disappointed.
Next year's calendar works have started and I am pleased to report meetings with our friends at Porsche & WRX clubs as well as Triumph Sports Owners have kicked off and we all seem to be on the same page. Hopefully, if we can get the dates that suit our pre-planning. Next year will be around a 9 or 10-event series with a varied mix of venues and track styles to test all vehicles and drivers' abilities. With pooled resources and shared risk financially, all clubs should benefit from the new alliance.
